Master of the Academy of General Dentistry – MAGD

Dr. Oswick is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), an organization of general dentists all over the country who are dedicated to professional development and self-improvement through continuing education. In order to maintain a membership in the AGD, each dental professional must remain current with state-of-the-art technology, procedures and materials in dentistry in order to deliver quality treatments to his or her patients.

A dentist who has obtained a Mastership in the AGD is referred to as a “Master,” which means he or she has been recognized by his or her colleagues as a leader and a prime example of a dentist who actively pursues and applies continuing education to his or her daily patient care. In order to earn a Mastership Award, Dr. Oswick first had to be named a “Fellow” of the AGD. He then had to earn an additional 600 continuing education credits, 400 of those hours being hands-on courses. Therefore, Dr. Oswick has successfully completed over 1,100 hours of continuing education for his patients, covering 16 different disciplines in dentistry, including periodontics, orthodontics and dental implants.

Less than 3% of the AGD have received a Mastership. This award symbolizes the professional responsibility of general dentists to remain current in the field of dentistry and continue to learn new techniques and procedures for their patients. You can be assured Dr. Oswick is dedicated to providing the finest care imaginable in general dentistry.
